Ethernet, TV, and Fridges?

This guy pretty much made a comprehensive list. http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/13009185-post15.html</a> (Yeah, I linked back to my own topic, I know.)

some people arrive with ridiculous amounts of items that can easily be bought in the area or can be shipped later - like a mountain of bottled water or a crate of ramen noodles. There are giant low cost shops if you are concerned about the best possible deal, otherwise plenty of markets nearby. You don’t need a years worth of toothpaste or water and it just adds to the crowding in the room and the number of trips you will take up and down and up and down the elevators when moving in.

Question: Do the cabinets, desk drawers or closets have locking mechanisms? I want to have a small, safe place to store my stash.

I didn’t see a lock on anything when I visited a room at CalSO, but then again I don’t know if I was looking that carefully. I was staying at a hotel so I was only in the dorm room for a minute or two.

By the way, I’m so excited to find out our roommates this week (hopefully?) Then I can finally figure out if they are bringing a fridge, microwave, TV, etc. and so I’ll know what I can buy and what I don’t have to buy. Gotta figure out, also, to maximize space and figure out who wants what bed. I don’t want to have to participate in a crazy race for the nicest bed xD

Nope, no locks on anything, so if you want to lock things in a confined space maybe you should bring a little locking safe or something?

I had a friend that was in a triple unit, and her dad got her a little wireless router (pocket sized) that way she was able to use her laptop in bed and her iPad. I am fairly certain it was made by zuni connect
