I heard theres only two ethernet jacks in a triple room.. that would mean a splitter is needed. Is this true?

I do not feel like sharing. I shall be the first to move in and take the one all for myself. Lol jk

Yes, this is true. In a triple, someone needs to borrow an ethernet splitter from the front desk and share one of the two connections.

We don't have to buy one, we can just borrow one? Do we have to check it out or something?

do they have wireless in the dorms?

no - but you're welcome to bring your own wireless router

And yes, you can rent (for free) a 4-port router from the STC for the year if you live in a triple

oh rent for free eh? and whats STC?

STC = Student Technology Center, by Sunset Village

Wireless router or just a cat-5?

i probably dont need wireless router in my triple. i mean... theres barely any mobility in my room anyways. only advantage i c for using a wireless router is if im lucky enough i may be able to use my laptop in the restroom.

What about getting a wireless network printer for the dorm to share?

u mean whole floor share one printer? hmm i dunno. not sure everyone would have wireless capability on their comp. plus who is buying the paper + ink? i never touched a wireless router so im clueless.

Wireless router or just a cat-5?

Cat-5

I meant just for the room to share (triple)...wouldn't have to plug in anyway.
