Wow, that looks like a fabulous product! I love learning about things that solve life’s little problems or inconveniences. Thank you!
I have a new sink and it came with one of those rolling racks. I like to use a dish drainer so I don’t have it fully extended a lot, but it’s nice.
I got 2 packs of these “food tents” for outdoor eating. They fold closed like a little umbrella so they’re easy to store.
Just saw this at Wal-Mart and ready to try out!
Duck (tape people) Pack & Go. Anybody seen it? Just saw it at Wal-Mart.
It uses a phone app (free) and QR codes to label storage boxes to keep track of contents and where-abouts.
You can edit contents, location of box, add a picture of the contents etc. Supposedly if your baseball glove is stuck in a box somewhere you can ask the app for “baseball glove” and it’ll say “box 33” (or 103 in my case) and where that box is located. Of course how good it works depends on whether you keep it current. Sounds great for long term storage where you forget what’s actually in the box or where you put it (like attic stuff, garage or storage units).
They have some trial sample labels to test it out that you can print. It’s 15 bucks for 40 labels.
I’ll report back after trying it.
@gouf78 - that sounds really interesting. I tried to find it online and I think it’s actually Duck Pack and Track for anyone else looking for it. Looking forward to your report on how it works.
Find it as “Pack & Track”. Otherwise you get a load of duck stuff. Took me a few tries to actually find the app.
Gonna try it out!
Wow, that Pack & Track is such a great idea! Thanks for the tip, @gouf78!
Bought, but haven’t tried, a watermelon slicer. Looks just like a giant version of the apple slicer. I can’t wait to try it!
I just read reviews on Amazon…I got mine at Kroegers…and it will either be great or a waste of $20.
Waste of $20. Bent on using. Great idea that needs perfecting.
Lol. Thanks for the honest review! I was thinking about that watermelon slicer as I was cutting one for breakfast. That little sucker was as hard as a cannonball!! Can you take it back to Kroger and complain? I would bring it to their attention that they should not waste their shelf space for useless gadgets.
I do plan to take it back. Just have to remember to put it in the car.
Playing with Pack & Track from Duck… Very promising. After a couple false starts it’s looking good as I figured stuff out. Very easy to edit box name, location, contents etc.
I’m gonna buy some labels and see how it goes. I do think the more specific you are on the location of your box (you can make it whatever you want) the better off you’ll be. “Garage” is a pretty big space for me for example–add “right wall middle” or whatever.
Thinking this might be good for labeling drawers and cabinets in my laundry/craft room. I’ll just label it on inside of door.
Lots of possibilities!
Overall loving it. Start with something on a small scale to get used to it. Print the samples.
The hard part is that the scanning immediately seems to add from camera without you doing anything. Nice but then I wonder if that part is already done. Trial and error
That pack and track thing sounds like a great idea. Do report back. I’m trying to declutter and reorganize - I spend hours searching for stuff which will hopefully improve as I get rid of stuff but that app sounds like it could be a great help. Could maybe even label cupboards (& we have a lot).
One discovery i made is one I had seen and finally decided to try. Blue dawn and white vinegar as a cleaner - it works! I purchased many products trying to clean up our old shower and shower doors (need replacing but not in the budget right now). Finally tried the dawn/,vinegar mix in a spray bottle and, Wow, what a difference. The doors look so much better and the faucets are all shiny.
What proportions of blue Dawn to vinegar? Sounds like a great solution , especially for my shower doors.
I use equal parts Dawn and vinegar. It cleans my shower door better than anything else I’ve tried. There’s lots of stuff online about this combo. Some folks say to heat the vinegar first before adding to the Dawn. I’ve done it both ways and haven’t noticed any real difference in the results.
Thanks.
I keep reading it has to be blue dawn so that’s what I used. Don’t know why it specifies blue or if it makes a difference but I did use the blue. Give it a try and let us know.
I think there are some surfaces it should not be used on - granite springs to mind.
Thanks for the warning. I’m planning to try it in the bathroom first, which doesn’t have any granite.
Recently I just figured out about a way to clean your body and stay germ free. It’s called soap and now I use it nearly every day!
I found a really great car wash soap back online that makes your car look like it was just waxed and super shiny. The recipe is 3/4-1 cup of white distilled vinegar, 5-7 drops of liquid dish soap added to a 14 quart bucket of warm water. Spray off car with water, wash with soap/ vinegar mix. Rinse off car and then dry with towels. Car will stay clean and shiny for up to two weeks ! This is my new favorite.
