Europe for under $3,000?

I will be going into tenth grade this summer, and would like to go to Europe for 1-3 weeks through a summer program for under $3,000 including airfare. Do you guys know of any programs like this?

thanks

I doubt any programs are open for that amount, considering that airfare will probably set you back at least $1000. i think sya.org has a summer program in france and china, but you have to know the language. costs like 5 grand plus transportation. the only opportunity under 3 grand would probably be a scholarship to a school in europe or something. http://sya.org//media/sp/pdfs/SYA_summer.pdf

Don't go with a program. travel alone. I know that if you are ok with living in youth hostels, you can bring the cost way down. And if you're going throughout western Europe, I know the German U-Bahn train is quite cheap and can take you to neighboring countries like Luxembourg. Of course, all this would require some backpacking and local language. German is very useful for most of Europe. Learn some before you go.

no no no.

go to summer@brown. no europe for you

The experiment in international living is excellent but the least expensive programs are over 4,000. Google the web site.

Yeah, a represent from EIL came to my school a few months ago. Since I'm doing another program at a boarding schools, $3,000 is all my parents are willing to spend right now.

I'm thinking of doing this one. Madrid High School Summer Spanish Program ~ Teen Spanish Courses ~ Madrid Teen Spanish Program Has anyone had any experience with it?

I recommend going alone or with a friend, rather than with a program.

he's only a high school freshman -- going alone is not a good option at this point.

bumpppp.

Going alone is not an option lol I'm only 15.
