(european History Exam?)

Hey! taking the european history exam in my school this year(sophmore) is mandatory, so say i make a 1, will colleges see that even if i don't want them to? and what would be the best Ap euro book to study from?

its the national AP European History exam....btw

Bump!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

The AP exams are over are you talking about next year's exams?
use princeton and REA. (both!!) i don't think you'll get a 1 since you could get that just by putting yur name on the test paper. but if you do get a 1, then you can cancel your grade for a fee. don't ask me how much. i don't think they send it to the college though since you don't even choose your college until you're a senior or something.

btw, i already took mine this year and did horrible on it. well, at least i passed. it's quite difficult. the book is really boring and i had a difficult time reading it.(i kept falling asleep. that's how boring it is). so buy A LOT of caffine.

AP Euro...so horrible, so all-consuming, yet I look back upon it fondly.

This has little to do with the thread, but the mandatory test-taking reminds me of a really funny story. One of the teachers at my school goes to the big grading convention, and she read this one FRQ that was absolutely top-notch. The prompt was to pick a famous work by a Renaissance artist and relate it to the political/social environment at the time. This kid totally took off on some fancy-titled Italian painting that none of the readers had heard of, and they were all set to give him a nine and send him off with a 5. Then they looked up what the name was, and it translated to "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles."

Absolutely brilliant. Too bad he didn't channel that brilliance onto the test, or he would have passed, but maybe we'll see him on Comedy Central one day :) You see, this is what happens when states make kids test against their will.

lol.....okkk

The best study book is, well, your textbook. But for last minute review I used Princeton Review's book and it was somewhat helpful. Just be sure to go over 20th century stuff quite thoroughly, my terrible teacher basically didn't do the 20th century and the DBQ ended up being from that time period, as well as lots of multiple choice on the communists and so on, but I somehow managed to pull a 4.

awsome.. anyone else?

hrm i just took the ap euro exam this year, did decently (4) without that much effort.. i recommend barron's for a good ap euro review book. sample essays are a bit hard, but it's good prep for the three essays at the end, and the review material is good enough. the curve on the multiple choice is generous, from what i hear.. my teacher told me that around 55/80 on the mc will give you a 4-5. just remember to save your brainpower for the last three essays! that part nearly killed me in the end. i'm just glad i got it over with.

oh, and there's some political cartoons on the exam (at least mine had them)..

ohhh thanks vroh89..

why does this title have parenthesis around it?
