Has anybody on this forum taken AP European History? Or are there people that are taking it this fall?

Just wondering what I should be looking out for and such. I'm actually excited to take this class because, there's no history for freshmen at my school, and I enjoy history and think it's actually pretty fun.

Well my school doesn’t have any IB classes…we only have AP and some honors : /

Really? I have to answer about 40 questions out of the textbook, read Sophie’s World, and write an essay on it stating which philosophie’s you agree and don’t agree with and why -_-

In my school, you take AP European History your sophomore year, which I did. I liked the class, I learned a lot! You will probably learn how to write a DBQ (Data Based Question) which is like a series of passages/pictures in which you to group to answer to certain question. The AP Exam isn’t that bad, I got a 3 without any studying, I just took the class.

The class isn’t that hard depending a little on your previous knowledge of European History. I’d say it’s harder than APUSH though (easy class). The class covers about 500 years of history over an entire continent, as opposed to ~250+ in one country. The detail is at times quite similar.
