Evaluation Time

Does anyone know around what dates the admission officers would start reviewing the applications?

122 views and no reply? I'm guessing no one knows?

I am sure they started weeks ago, they have literally thousands to review.

are you asking this for next year? I mean, everyone finds out in two weeks, so I would assume they've been at it since January or so. . .

Regional officers have been reviewing the applications. They take the best of the bunch to committee next week. Because they're on spring break this week, nothing is really getting done.

I don't think admissions is on sprink break. I have called once and emailed documents twice, I received a response each time.

I bet they all take a week off AFTER the decisions go out...

sunshadow, I bet you are exactly correct. I bet all the admissions office is out the first two weeks of April. Not only to get a vacatin from working so hard but to avoid all the overachieving kids and parents calling asking why Johnny did not get in!

Agreed. For them, it may not be spring break but rather, a "mental health" break!

oh dear sweet jesus i would hate to be the person who has to deal with all those inevitable phone calls...

I cannot imagine calling an admissions office asking why my DD did not get in. It would not in any way change the outcome, so why bother?

Believe it or not many call, rumor has it some offer big money. I bet if you built them a building the decision could be reversed. I know in some cases the guidance counselor calls to get an idea of what could have been done differently, this is supposedly to help future students.
