Every student (meaning most students) to Indiana are Kelley students?1

Hi - our son applied end of October (28th or 29th) to Kelley - with direct admit numbers.

I am very glad to see so many students from OOS for Kelley -because, we lived in OH (son was born in Columbus - Buckeye hospital - hope you will not hold that against him!!), MN, IL (Chicago) before coming settling here in TX!

TX schools - 90% of the students are from TX - we feel that limits the diversity of thoughts and we all want out kids to be exposed to diverse thoughts and opinions especially for students pursuing a management education.
Hope he will get scholarships to make it easy on us otherwise cost difference between UT McCombs and Kelley would become a major factor!

Would love to hear from parents and students who will be in Kelley business school - what they or their kids are planning to pursue and if they will be applying to live KLLC?
Wanted to start a community thread where those who are accepted and are planning to attend can get to know one another and can share their thoughts and what they want to pursue? Thank you!
P.S. - am hearing lot of good things about Kelley even though it is little too big (around 1500 students) and hope it will work for our son since he goes to a charter/magnet school that has only 65 graduating seniors!!

I have a 2016 Kelley graduate who lived in the KLLC and also a current freshman - both Direct Admits – both lived in the KLLC in McNutt. Daughter was just recently moved to other housing due to widespread mold issue involving freshman dorm buildings that is an ongoing situation. McNutt is a Quad cluster made up of Bordner, Bryan, Crone, Dejoya, Delgado and Bocobo - and 3 of those house KLLC students this year. McNutt and Foster quads were most impacted by the mold situation and are where testing and remediation is underway. My advice is to be strategic in housing for next year. It is unknown what the impact will be on housing assignments for freshman. McNutt is where the KLLC was located when my son attended and obviously, this year as well… Best of luck with all your decisions going forward. Especially if your student has underlying health issues, you will want to monitor the mold situation carefully for housing assignment next year. If student applies to the KLLC and is accepted, they have to reside wherever the KLLC is located. Our son was a marketing major and he and all of his friends as well as members of his business fraternity had their post grad job offers lined up at the start of senior year. Current daughter’s interest is marketing combined with entrepreneurship and non-profit focus. We are also OOS.

There is a Kelley Parent FB page you may be able to join to get a glimpse of Kelley life from parent’s perspective. I d not know if they admit potential incoming parents, but you could always ask.

Thank you! My son has allergies - mainly pollen but so we will have to monitor the mold situation closely. Apprecaite your feedback.

My D is a sophomore in Kelley. We are OOS. She lived in the Kelley LLC last year and loved it. The students she met were diverse, intelligent and driven. McNutt has a reputation for being a crazy freshman dorm but the LLC was the perfect balance of freshman fun with opportunities for helpful study groups. She is studying finance and has found wonderful networking opportunities. She was a Direct Admit and part of the ACE mentor group. She did get scholarships that brought the OOS tuition down in line with our In State flag ship. We have been very impressed with her classes, professors and experience.

My son is a freshman in KLLC , OOS and his HS graduating class was 52. He loves IU and KLLC. He’s met a lot of great kids in Kelley and is friends with everyone on his floor. Not everyone in Kelley lives in the KLLC. His major right now is management but he is considering accounting, he loves Math! It’s a great business school. He got into a lot of other great business schools but decided on IU. He did receive a scholarship and there are a bunch you can apply for thru Kelley.
