^ The amount of work/academic rigor at Stanford is certainly less than at a Swarthmore, MIT, CalTech, U Chicago, but probably similar to all of the ivies (except possibly Yale, and by reputation Cornell is pretty high pressure once one matriculates).

I’m sitting here waiting for someone to comment on how he manages to flaunt the supposed academic superiority of Swarthmore in every single one of his posts.

Ha you must ■■■■■ quite well cause he really does…on multiple boards

^^superiority != rigor
but then again I’m not familiar with his posting style

Nikkor, we’ve commented on Dad2’s curious, out-of-left-field pom-pom waving for Swarthmore many times here, but apparently he simply can’t stop himself after a certain amount of time has elapsed. Sigh.

It’s on multiple boards. You’d have to have some kind of ridiculous insider knowledge of every elite school to make the claims he does, but it is getting kind of funny.

I’m guessing he has a kid at Swarthmore and is annoyed that lots of people say “Where’s that?” when they hear the name, despite its excellent academic reputation. I don’t think his posts in these forums will do much to enhance its name recognition though, nor will his efforts to disparage other schools that are much more widely-known and admired. But whatevs.
