So even if the student doesn't return the tests, do you still think they will learn a lesson?

This is not how it is done anyway. Teacher is a cool-real-life teacher wannabe.
Those badass teachers you see on TV. No one likes wannabes though :)

yeah. the thing is, nobody even has a clue about who it might be. that's why there was a lot of pointing fingers, to the point where my friend who i knew since i was 5 was accusing me behind my back. it's just ridiculous.

the thing is, there was one person who took last semester's final - which there was ONE COPY OF -, but there were multiple people who took single-chapter tests. the main culprit is the one who took last semester's final, but he says it was also other people who took the chapter tests, too. so i guess he's punishing everyone for that 'group of people.'

this one girl collected 15 chapter tests people took and turned it into him, but he still won't do anything.

from the looks of it, i highly doubt he's going to change his mind.

opiee, your post was amazing! it's pretty sad, because it was so generous of him to let us even LOOK at the tests (which he didn't even have to do since it was going to be recycled questions), and people had to go and abuse his trust by taking the tests. he was a really chill teacher and wasn't uptight, but now that this happened.. his answer is "NO NO NO" to everything. he used to cut us a lot of slack.. but now, no. it's understandable though.

thanks everyone for the helpful responses. and radioactive, yeah it won't solve the situation by ranting online, but it helps me a lot in dealing with the situation & knowing how other people would handle it.

That's horrible!

Try having your parents call the office/a higher ranking staff member at your school, i.e. grade principal, assistant principal & complain.

Nope, it's not fair but that's how life is sometimes. If you feel strongly enough about it go complain to someone, but personally, I wouldn't care enough to, getting a B isn't the worst thing in the world.

ugh, that's absolutely ridiculous!
i wouldn't take that at all.
talk to your parents and get them involved. at my school, if a student says anything, nothing gets accomplished...but once the parents call up, people can be raised from the dead...-_- i hate my school's administration.

wow. that really stinks

Oh well,
It's either:
1- You get your parents involved.
or
2- You just forget about it.

I don't think there's another solution to that, seeing that the teacher has already made up his mind of saying "no" to everything. I had a teacher that never changes his mind, and I think that your teacher is that kinda person.

yeah. i guess if worse comes to worst, then i'll just add a small note to my applications explaining what happened. i'd get my parents involved, except they're asian and taking action isn't something they might be comfortable with since.. yeah idk haha.

Talk to the students and try and isolate the FRIEND of whoever stole the big test. If you can get them ****ed enough they'll probably turn their friend in. But do it with a group of people, peer pressure i the way to go; that's why the teacher is punishing all of you. If you get enough people to pressure the person enough they'll cave. But only do it if you REALLY care, and don't mind being conniving, and you have to know how to pressure people or find someone who can: more popular kids are good for this.

maybe he will juss be like at the end of the year.... ok nobody confessed
even though i would have liked to punish the whole class by making him feel guilty for the rest of his life, i have to give the people who didnt do the beneift of the doubt. so i will make yall take the final again.
