I want to know now!!! when are they sending them out? I live in NYC so I’m expecting to receive it the day after it’s sent out. I really can’t image waiting for another whole week

I was calm at the end of November, freaked out on the first few days of December, and now I am calm again… for the most part. I mainly get nervous when I go to get the mail.

My thought/action process:

Is there a big package?
- No - Okay, take a deep breath.
- Yes - Is there purple on it?

Going with No on the previous question:
- How many small letters are there?
- A quick preliminary “Purple Scan”
- Go through each piece of mail. Read everything on the front.
- Put mail down. Deep breath.
- Pick up mail check again.

And from there, I throw everything on the island and head back to my room as if nothing has happened.

i check for purple, too!!
okay, so can we all agree that
if it’s an ACCEPTANCE letter, it will be a big, thick envelope?
and it’s a rejection letter (which none of us have to worry about…POSITIVE THINKING!!) it’ll be a normal sized, thin envelope?
does it say congratulations on the actual envelope if it’s an acceptance letter?
this is terrifying.
and i made the big mistake of venting to everyone about how i really really want to go to nyu and how i applied ed and everything so everyone’s constantly asking if i’ve heard from them yet.
i feel like i’m not gonna be able to get through this week ESPECIALLY because the mail comes while i’m at school so i won’t be able to find out if i got in until after school!
what a dilemma!

for mine, it was a large envelope with “office of undergraduate admissions, NYU”, all that stuff in the upper left corner.

when you open it, it’s a folder with something like:

“congratulations! we hope that you will join us in Greenwich Village. . .” etc, etc

ahhh!!! i’m gonna pass out when i open it no matter what
