why are librarians always so snobbish in the school libraries? They're real prunes--you know what I'm talking about!

hmm...maybe at your school...?

99% of the librarians I've met here are great...the only bad one was a student worker/supervisor who thought he ruled the place and treated his employees like crap...but besides him, they're all pretty great here (both student and staff librarians)

I agree with the OP. Most of the librarians at my school are real...

There's this one big butted librarian at my school who runs around the library yelling at people.

so how is high school anyway

dont' go to the library then

My librarians are all really cool, actually.

In HS my librarians were evil. But in college they're all really nice and very helpful.

hmm,, how do you know the person you ran into is actually a librarian? many people who work at front desks can be mistaken as a librarian (but it's usually library assistants or paiges, those are the people who answer technical questions and help you pay your fines, etc). since there are no tags for them, you can only really tell who is actually a librarian when you ask them to help you find things, and they're usually pretty nice about that.

i have never spoken to an employee at my school's library, except for the students who work in the small cafe, but they're employed by dining and not the library.

i go, i study, i've never had to check out a book. but the employees that i've seen there (student and professional) seem nice and accomodating.
