EWRT2 or EWRT1B at De Anza College?

I want to post this writing on CSU's posting, but I cannot find. Anyway

I am taking EWRT2 at De Anza college right now, and I am planning to transfer to CSU. However, I am confused if I need to take also EWRT 1B.

I asked many friends. Some said yes need both, but other said no only one can be transferred.

I finally asked my counselor, so he said only one. If I take both, he means recommend.

do you guys think I can take only one of them right? but still confused.

my major is acct.

I think taking only one will be fine. I’m transferring to a UC and I only took EWRT 2. You don’t need to take EWRT 1B if you take EWRT 2 unless you want to for some reason. Just make sure you also take speech!

I know IGETC is required only EWRT2 or EWRT 1B one, so CSU system is also required only one of them right?
I also know i need to take speech class if I want to transfer to CSU.
OK. Thanks for information.

I completed EWRT 2! You only have to do one, it’s recommended that you choose EWRT 2 over 1B. It qualifies the student for more than you think.

For IGETC it’s one or the other. The only way people need more than one 2nd level English is if it’s required for their major. I believe business admin/accounting at SJSU only requires one.
