Excused medical leave from boarding school?

My boarding school has a riding program that seems to be the reason most girls attend the school, except for me. I've never ridden a horse. The first week I went there I was over my head in tissues. My head was pounding and my eyes were leaking pretty much not to mention I woke up every day with a nose bleed. I couldnt catch my breath and had horrible coughing fits and was using such a bumber of tissues it was enbarrassing. I could not breathe in this one class in particular which was on a lower floor and it was across from the barn. So I thought I might have a horse allergy, especially be size we had to walk through the closet and the other girls dorm next to us to get to the bathroom! And the girl next to us was a rider. So I came home and went to my pediatrician and he diagnosed it as a horse allergy. He gave me an inhaler ( which I've never used before) and some allergy medication. But I strongly disagree with medicines like that. Kidney and liver problems run in my family and recently I've come into my own kidney problems (I'm 15) and they haven't diagnosed me with anything yet because they don't know what they're seeing on my kidney.

But here's the thing, I hate this school and so does my mom, it's not as advertised to say the least, my mom wants to pull me out. But they're making her pay tuition in full unless I go until the 24th then she has to pay like %60 which is even stupider. But I was wondering if there's something my pediatrician or my nephrologist can say to excuse me from school? Or if there's a medical excuse that would exempt me from school. I mean if it's my health is it my fault that I have to leave? Being sick was really the only reason my mom decided to pull me out anyway, she never would have considered it if I just didn't like the school.

You’ve already told us on another thread that the reason you want to leave the school is that you hate the dorms, the classrooms, the trig, and basically everything about the school. So the horse allergy sounds like an excuse.

A medical issue isn’t basis to nullify the terms of your enrollment contract. I doubt a doctor’s note will be the legal cure all. You’ve occupied a space in the school that can no longer be “sold” to another student, because by this time of year, all the other students are committed to other schools.

The 24th is 4 days away.

The same insurance that is going to give your mom back her 60% covers medical issues. The thing is, it doesn’t matter why you are leaving - you are only going to get back that amount. You/your mom needs to make peace with that.

You’re 15. It’s your mom’s job to deal with this (and with finding a lawyer, assuming that was you on the other thread). Try to relax and to put a brave face on the situation. Do your schoolwork and try to be friendly. Just doing those things will make your life easier and more pleasant while you are at the school, however much you dislike it. If you need an ulterior motive for doing the right thing, remember that leaving a positive impression will make it more likely that you will be able to go to a school that you like better in the future. Also please consider the possibility that the reasons for your unhappiness may lie more with you than with the school and that time may change your opinion. This is hard to believe at 15, I know, but it is often true nonetheless.
