I am expecting 5 college interviews in India from:
Harvard
Columbia
Dartmouth
Yale
UChicago
I had my interviews with UPenn and Princeton in January and have not received any interview notification since. Please tell me one thing. Its March 2nd today. Most college decisions are out by 31st March. Is there any chance at all that I may receive an interview notification one of these days? Or am I to go wait straight for the decisions only now? I am in the midst of my exams and need to know so that I make my plans accordingly.
Harvard, Yale are selective about who they offer interviews to (in India at least). I think the deadline for Harvard is over, although one of my friends received a Yale interview a few days back.
Harvard interviews only about 5 or 6 people all over India, so if you get a Harvard interview, there’s a really, really good chance that you’re getting in. And yes (unless there are no alumni in your area), not getting an interview means that you won’t get in.
I don’t know if Columbia is selective, I recently had a Columbia interview. Most likely it’s a random process. The deadline for a Columbia interview is over, my interviewer told me that he had to submit his report by March 1st.
No idea about Dartmouth, UChicago (I didn’t apply).
But to receive a UChicago interview, you’ve got to request for one from your UChicago account. At least, that’s what it says on their website.

Going by how long back your friend received interview for Yale, I think that’s gone too. On the surface, it doesn’t appear to me that there can be any more interviews because as you said, most interview reports are turned in by early March. Hmm, no more interviews but I hope that doesn’t mean a rejection.
except probably at Harvard (Yale also? idk). Just pray that there are no alumni in your area.
