I was expelled from my college because my ex girlfriend assaulted me and then when i called the police she lied and said I assaulted her. This lead to me being arrested and kicked out of school. I legitimately did not do it and I thought i had plenty of evidence to prove that but the school didn't believe me which appeared to be simply because she is a woman. My question is: Can I get into another school besides a community college?? Should I meet with an admissions person and completely explain the situation to them before applying?

i would try to clear things up with the law, maybe go to court to prove your innocence, BUT if its your word against hers, then theres no point but meet with adcoms to explain your story

Unless you are an extraordinary football or basketball player, getting accepted at another college after being expelled from one for assault will be very difficult. After the Virginia Tech massacre colleges are very reluctant to admit applicants with a history of violent behavior on campus.

Did your case ever go to trial and if it did what was the verdict? If you were found guilty your prospects would be bleak but an acquittal would greatly reduce the damage from the incident.
