I attended Mass. College of Pharmacy for a year and a half (almost three semesters). I was recently expelled from the school as a result of a minor altercation between another student and I. I still dont know what I did that caused such serious actions to be taken. I have never been in any trouble at all ever - but alas I must accept this punishment, and move on... I am considering contesting this predicament in a court of law, but that could take months, if not years. I was wondering what colleges would accept an expelled student from another institution. I have a 2.9GPA in college as a result of a 'D' in biology, but other than that I have all A's and B's. I am currently going to take Harvard Extension courses related to the pharmacy field. Thanks for any advice

Please... anyone?

A "minor" altercation? damn dude what did you do, knock him out or something in the middle of class? Put icy hot in his boxers?

^ That is so funny.

actually it was a push ... i didnt beat the kid up or anything... i just dont know what to do so that i can go back on track to finishing up some sort of degree... i mean another college wouldnt take an expelled student, eh?

Just don't tell them about it on your application. Be like, I left cause that place sucked.

but its on my transcript?

"Just don't tell them about it on your application. Be like, I left cause that place sucked."

it's not a good idea to lie about something like this

what can i do then.... take more classes at harvard ext and hope they are transferred where ever?

yeah, i find that extremely unfair, you should definitely talk more with your school, i hope everything works out for you man, sorry to hear about what happened :(

Man that seriously sucks....... But i think theres more to the story it seems kinda odd that you just poushjed him and got expelled.....

If that was the serious case then you should Law suit and sue their asses..... I think you should explain it i nyour eassy and such when applying...

If you transfer you should definitely mention being expelled, and exactly what happened... and try not to play the "it wasnt my fault" card to much - be honest, and say you learned from what happened.

yeah, i plan on it ... but my worry is that i wont get in anywheres...

I am sorry but I am a bit skeptical about what you have told us. Are you telling us the whole truth or just your side of the story?

They say that the best way to handle something like that is to write about it. If you do it cleverly enough, they might be impressed...but I have to agree with everyone else. Who the hell overreacted so much that they would choose to expel someone with no history of altercations for "pushing"? There has GOT to be something you're not telling us...

My advice is to take as many courses from Harvard Extension school as possible. Of course, this won't get you a Bachelors degree, but you can then use the credits to transfer to a public institution. Unfortunately, you may be right - a private institution (comparable to Mass. C of P) will not gamble on a wild card.
Going to public school is not the end of the world (although there are many people on this discussion board who may disagree with me!!!)
