Explorations: All the world's a stage/FYRE helps NYC

Hey all, I was checking the housing website for the 1000th time and since we get to finally pick housing tomorrow! I was wondering if any current student could tell me anything about the explorations above? thanks.

or is anyone else thinking about exploratiosn?

I'm looking at the "All the World's A Stage" exploration, actually.... But I'm RD (I got an invite to the CAS reception, though...)...
Yeah, I'm interested to see if any current students were in it/heard anything about it, too...

can you give a link to this info? i'd love to check it out!

Bohemians and Rebels looks awesome! This might change my mind about dorms...

about that...I put hayden for my first choice but the exploration i want isn't in hayden...how does that work...if i don;t get hayden i go into an exploration or vice versa?

i think explorations has priority

Ask away.

I also know the RA for next year.

And yes, I really like it.

what events have you been able to attend as a part of it?

what would a normal day be like? ...is it different from non-exploration people?

this varies year to year, but so far we have:
-seen a Bill T. Jones dance show in Jersey
-watched Red Beads by Mabou Mines
-watched some other modern performance art
-went on a Met Opera tour
-went to an art istallation in the Financial District
-watched a Met opera (Romeo and Juliet)
-watched some very good off-Broadway shows
-went to Shakespeare in the Park (over the summer)
There's probably more but I don't remember all of them. With this floor, there are three people planning events: the RA, the WTE professor, and the faculty affiliate. We do more events than most floors do.
