Explore UGA Invitation!

About 2 months ago, I got an invitation to come and visit and take a tour of UGA on July 29 under the "Explore UGA" program! Does anybody know anything about this? Is it a plus for students applying! Or is it very common so I shouldn't feel lucky?

One more thing, probably the most common question; should I apply EARLY OR REGULAR, I always wanted to apply early but I feel I should make some more A's, here are my stats: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=79044

Thanks, everyone!

I'm a rising junior and i got a similar invitation. I felt prety special.....that is until now.lol. And how you aplly all depends on if the early decision is binding. Meaning, once you are accepted, are you obligated by a contract to go there?

Don't mind if its binding, UGA is my top choice! Also, don't be disappointed about the invitations, lots of folks didn't get it, we are some what special! But should I apply early or regular (make four more A's)? I heard EA has better chances!

is UGA really your top choice? It's my safety. I don't know if it's true for UGA, but you might have a better chance if you apply early decision. What grade are you in?

It's not binding guys. It's just EA. They look at your stats and pretty much decide just on that whether to admit or defer.

What exactly does that mean? I kow that some people go to college a year before they are suppose to. Is that EA? Or can you just apply early, get your admittance letter, then go after your senior year?

EA is for the fall of your senior year in high school. Basically you fill out the application and they admit you or defer you to regular decision. It's easy, painless, and lets you know your fate early plus gets you into the pool for merit-based aid.

That clears alot up for me. Thanks.

Rising junior, apply early (with a 3.50) or regular (with a 3.57)?
