Explore USC Viterbi Interiew

Can anyone who’s done the interview before let me know what it’s like? I’m heading there March 2-3 and feeling really nervous about it. What kind of questions do they ask? (esp. Viterbi/major specific ones) What should I research before going? What should I wear? Because of a complete lack of business casual clothes in my wardrobe I only have a full business suit borrowed from a friend (blazer + skirt) and casual clothes (ex. sweaters and dark jeans), both of which feel a little extreme.

My opinion is that clothes don’t matter in the least as long as what your wearing isn’t dirty or torn. If you have them, then wear slip on loafers, dress slacks/khaki’s and a long sleeve dress shirt. If anything it show’s that that you respect the process. As far as questions go, who knows?More than likely they will be geared to your interest in the school and program. Also heads up, most questions will be softballs but expect the occasional hardball challenge like Do you belong at USC, or what do you bring to the program, etc. If you experience reluctance on the part of the interviewer, don’t panic. It’s by design to test your resolve and confidence. GL and fight on!

Wear the blazer and skirt. It’s not extreme. This is a formal process, like a job interview.
