Interview advice?

I'm interviewing at USC this October! I was wondering what attire is proper and what I should expect it will be like. Thanks everyone!

My DS in a sophomore at SC. He interviewed in his hometown during the admissions process. I recall he wore dress slacks, shirt and tie and looked appropriate. Most girls wore simple dresses, skirts, or slacks and low heels. The admissions counselors who do the interviews wear suits/ professional attire, so the kids who came in jeans or collarless shirts didn’t look like they really cared about making a good impression.

I believe the interviews are structured to all be 20 minutes at the most. Some info is shared, a few general questions are asked, and you will probably be asked if YOU have any questions for them. So be prepared for that. Good luck!

Given that every applicant can’t be interviewed it’s hard to see how it can affect your decision unless you really shine or really collapse. So don’t stress out about it. Be yourself. Ask some questions that show you’ve done a little research.
