ENGL 2880, is it that hard?

I've only taken one FWS (only need one) and I got an A- in it. It was in the English department too. I really need and want to take another English class, and am looking for something that will be friendly for non english majors.

Also open to other suggestions. I just don't really want to take another FWS, I think they're a bit lame.

Boy you should be studying. Don’t you got some silly math major stuff to be doing? :P

I’m guessing you two are friends

I took ENGL 2700: Short Fiction.

The 2000 level ENGL FWS are meant for prospective english majors (despite there only being 2 in my class), and are rigorous and challenging.

That being said, it was one of the best English courses I’ve ever taken, and challenged and broadened my horizons in analysis of short literature and in writing.

Then again, it all depends on the professor. Although I’m not sure if I’d enjoy a class devoted to writing as opposed to reading.

i took expository writing…it was basically FWS all over…with much more intense writing requirements and peer review…

the close reading was done better…

i felt like it was basically a 3rd writing seminar :)

@suzalicious,
Pretty much.
By the way, ZF, i’m takin Intro to Literary Tradition1 next semester, and i hear it’s friendly to non-english majors.

isnt expository writing for non-english majors? lol.
