Thanks for the kind words. It is a big day. Had to come up with a fun way to celebrate.

Cool, 84. I have the UNC āBecauseā T-shirt from Johnny T-shirt ready to go for my D. (On the back of the shirt: Because itās Everything NC State isnāt; Better than Duke; a Southernerās Dream and a Northernerās Wish. The Pride of the Old North State; The Ultimate College Experience; Franklin Street, Dean Dome, UVAās Worst Nightmare and a Place That Can Get In Your Blood and Stay Foreverā¦)
The white paint wonāt do any good on the lawn here; itās covered in snow. But adding some Carolina blue would be cool!

I gave yāall a shout out on the blog lol

I found some cheap UNC pajama pants at a nearby shopping centerā¦I might have to do some shopping after 5!

@twobittehz: woohoo! And yeah, strangely as the magic moment approaches Iām feeling a tiny tiny tiny little bit of my confidence return weāll be okayā¦fingers crossed!

all4 - the T shirt sounds wonderful.

Fingers crossed for everyone who really wants it, but have friends who went to ālesserā colleges (like Duke lol) and they did just fine. The saying is true - it is what you make of it.

Youāre right, thatās why Iām about to go get that milkshake lol!

Yeah I totally agree 84uncgrad, like right now, even if I get into unc I think Iām gonna go to auburn
b/c my undergrad is totally free. How can I turn that down when they have a vet school and unc doesnāt? Haha Iād have to go to ncstate eventually :)

flagirl - very hard to turn down free. I love your enthusiasm for Carolina even though another school is a better fit. Good luck.

84-very cool idea! All4-never seen that particular shirt but pretty cool.

Iām spending this time reflecting. I honestly think my son will be ok if he is deferred or flat out rejected. I think he is content to attend NCSU b/c his major is Engineering & their program has a good ranking (below Duke but higher than UNC)ā¦he is also frugal! I have to temper my emotions b/c I think he is more concerned about disappointing me, than for himself, and I am more concerned about him being bummed if the news isnāt good. I am very proud of him no matter what, & sure all of your parents feel the same.

i live in cary. nothing came in the mail.

Haha thanks guys I feel good now. Both my parents went to community college so I feel like I have a little something to prove if only unc gave money for national merit

Sighā¦just came home from school and Iām disappointed that results havenāt come out yet. I donāt know if this was mentioned before, but I think theyāll release them around the time their admissions office closes, so they donāt get any calls or anything until Monday.

i dont even care what time they come out anymore, as long as its today!!!

My mom has been texting me all day asking for my login and I refuse to give it to her. Iām feeling pretty sure that the results will be released at 5ā¦

Iām ready to knowā¦I have a lot of preparations to take care of :)

Well 5 is only 3 hrs or 180 minutes or 10800 seconds away guys. Letās all count to 10800 together. Ready?

Already started ;)

Still no official word of acceptance yet but my son did receive a letter today telling him he made Morehead-Cain finalist!

^Congratulations! Thatās great news
