Hi guys, I'm a junior currently with an intrest in applying to Columbia next year. Summer after freshman year I took chemistry online, one of two prerequisites to IB science classes. Sophmore year I completed both SL physics and chemistry, this year I am taking SL psychology, HL physics and SL biology, and forcasted for HL bio, HL psychology and if avalible, HL chem senior year. Alongside this I forcasted for HL calc and IB math studies. As you can probably imagine my interests all lie in science. My extracirriculars are numerous, but I fear they are not based around science as much as other applicanta may be. I am the Varsity soccer, XC and Track captain, Student body president, president of the "rock/jazz club" ( a musical group based around playing rock and metal with jazz instruments), model UN member, politics club member, part of the National Honors Society and have a few hundred hours volunteering in a medical lab. I have completed five online college courses, and 2 at a local community college. I also play year round soccer which, along with the most rigorous schedule in my class, makes anything else near immpossible to fit in. Is this enough? Will Columbia understand that I can't fit anything else science related? Is this enough if I maintain a high gpa and do well on the SAT and IB exams? And any suggestions for additional activities I could slip in that may make my science focus more obvious?

Your extracurriculars are excellent. Columbia understands that you can partake in a finite number of activities. But there will always be people who did more than you.

A great opportunity that is coming up could be the Google Science Fair, especially so as you are interested in the sciences.
