hey siri i wrote about how my life changed/is changing since my father passed away recently. i think they jus wanna see if i bounced back last semester from my depressed grades and such.. you said your friend wrote about depression but got a different questionnaire, so i really don't know how they are choosing

^I think they look at our application and if something really stands out, (in my case, it was something about my debate competition) they send us the supp form to evaluate us in depth.

you guys already submit yours?

i also got a questionnaire. im really scared.. my counselor told me at the beginning of semester that i had a good chance of getting into ucb, but now she is saying that i'm probably borderline in the pile of maybes.

does anyone know the difference between the borderline questionnaire and the disability one? are the questions different?

(the first four questions for my are...
1. Does your high school provide adequate educational resources (such as teachers, counselors, assistance with course selection and college admission planning, books, facilities, size and location)? If not, please explain.
2.Did you have a desire to take more advanced college preparatory courses offered at your school? If yes, please describe what prevented you.
3.Are you required to complete non-academic courses or courses that do not meet the UC a-g requirements (e.g.: academy, magnet, AVID, religion, leadership, or any other special program classes)? If yes, please explain.
4. How much did your teachers or counselors encourage you to take courses that would qualify you for UC or other four-year colleges?

my UC GPA is 4.3
weighted: 4.25~ (+ second semester)
unweighted: 3.93
SAT: 2100
i think i have decent ECs.. but i didnt get a talent questionnaire (im a jr. olympics swimmer)
but i wrote my essay about how swimming helped me overcome a disability that i had.
& i am also low income. $30,000

thank you so much.
i wish everyone the best of luck with their questionnaires!

sorry. i meant (+ 1st semester senior yr)
oh i dont know if this counts for anything... but im also top 1% in my class.

^ you could have probably been recruited then if you are an olympics jr swimmer!!!!!!!!

well. the thing is i love to swim, but i dont think im willing to devote my college life to swimming. i will still be doing recreational swimming, but if i try to get recruited then i would have to sign a contract... plus cal has an amazing swim team, i dont think i would have made the cut! i thought i would have been better off just applying with grades. :)

did you get accepted?
