<p>I am an international applicant to US universitites. Some of the ones I am applying to are: MIT, Stanford, Caltech, Berkeley, Princeton, Harvard, Yale, CMU, UIUC, UMICH - ann arbor, Gatech, Cornell etc..</p>

<p>I have already submitted my application to most of these places. but now I have an extra report/essay on a idea/problem of Physics. Can I send it now as an e-mail to the universitites separately? Or should I send it by snail mail? Will they accept it? Has anyone done so in the past? Is it possible to ask them to confirm receipt by putting the extra essay online in the pdf which one can download ( but not edit) after submission of application?</p>

<p>I doubt the colleges that you already submitted to will accept additional materials. You can probably use it if you get deferred though.</p>

<p>So they wont accept anything now??? DOnt places like MIT say you can still send it till Jan? or is it only for deferred people?</p>
