Can you turn in extra things (in my case my PSAs) to UC school to look at. I know some private school accept this but I don't know about UCs.

One of these videos led me to win an paid internship with Youthnoise.com, and through the videos I made for youthnoise, I was hired by a separate TV company to make trailers. One of these trailers was filmed at a Cannes festival and another was sold to Fred Silverman (some will know who I am talking about).

Do you think it is possible because I think it can show that I really have a passion for film. Thanks!

You probably would not want to send the videos. From what I have heard, the UCs do not welcome extra material. They don't even want letters of recommendation! I believe it would suffice to explain, in detail, opportunities that opened up because of your talents and what you accomplished.

UCs don't want more materials. Think about it: they don't even want your official transcript until after you've been accepted. They don't want recommendations, the CSS profile, a resume, fine arts supplements, etc. This is understandable, since most of the UCs receive more applicants than even Stanford, and a couple receive 2x what top privates do. They wouldn't be able to get through all the extra materials.

o alright...that sucks.

Thanks though.
