Extracurricular Choice

<p>For a college essay I am writing, I need to "choose one extracurricular activity, work experience or community service project from the list you provided on the application and explain why you initially chose it, why you continued with it, and how you benefited from it."</p>

<p>I have narrowed my choice down to two possibilities. I have either Boy Scouts of America which I have been in since 5th grade and recently received my Eagle Scout in, or I have Cross Country which I have also been in since 5th grade. Now I'm having a bit of trouble deciding which to write about. I think I can write a fairly good essay about either one, but which do you think would help me out more?</p>

<p>I think Boy Scouts would be a more interesting read and is probably a bit more unique.</p>

<p>i was gonna say XC....it takes a special person to run cross country that long (no pun intended)</p>

<p>Which do you think brought about the most growth and reveals the most of your character? That's the answer.</p>

<p>You might try writing about both. You might find one just comes out better for you or you might have others read it to get their opinions.</p>
