Extracurricular Questions

Do the admission officers want to see that you have stuck with your EC since grade 9??
Is it ok that most of my ecs started during grade 10?

Also, one of my major Ecs is snowboarding, but i haven't won any competitions or anything
i snowboard for fun every saturday for 7 hours, so should i put that on there??

a lot of my classmates are saying put what will impress them the most but on the common app it says "Please list your principal extracurricular, community, volunteer and family activities and hobbies in the order of their interest to you."
i really love snowboarding but should i just list clubs that i have leadership positions in instead?
thanks <3

It's best that you started in 9th grade, but what's done is done. You can't change anything now. Starting in 10th isn't that bad either.

Put it there. It's about involvement and passion; not necessarily awards awards awards. If you really love it, consider talking about it in your essay. It's not about impressing the colleges (like your friends say). I'd put what I like rather than what I'm a leader in.
