I'm a sophomore in high school and I want to go to university of Pennsylvania, but the only problem is I don't have an extracurriculars. None of the club's interest me at school and it's too late to start my own, and I'm freaking out because the only extracurricular I have now is volunteering at a nursing home and working at a summer camp. I want to be a pediatric surgeon and I want to find an extracurricular that relates to that. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Do whatever interests you. If volunteering in a nursing home is what you like best, stick with it. There is no secret formula available here to tell what EC are needed to get into a college, as there are more important factors involved. As far as starting your own club, you’d be amazed what other students can do and have done at later stages of HS. Also remember that work experience itself counts to an ADCOM officer.

Hey! Have you tried emailing a professor at a local university that you may be interested in research! Be prepared to apply yourself and dedicate yourself though! If you need any help, message me.
