I am a freshman in high school, and I don't know what extracurricular activities to participate in. I really want to get into a good college and I know it is very important to have more than just good scores. So far I will be doing cross country, track, swim team, student council, mock trial, math team, choir, and envirothon. What other ec's should I add? ( I have heard that depth is more important than breadth)

Just as you said, depth > breadth.

Focus yourself on achieving the grades as well as leadership in as many EC’s as possible. I’d say not to join any more EC’s for the sake of having another thing to add to your application - find where your passions lie, and focus on what you’re in right now. If you stuck those out, that’d be great! Good luck :)

I think you have plenty.

Ditto…

don’t add anymore. and don’t be afraid to drop a few if you feel like its too much or don’t enjoy it as much as you thought you would.
