Extracurriculars

I don't understand why people are so into finding a "link" between ECs. People aren't always on one track. You can like science and creative writing at the same time.

Doesn't it show more of a 2D personality if everything stems from one point? (And I'm not asking about having a million different ECs. I know that point. I just want to know about have 2 or 3 main passions and why you need to a show a connection between them when applying.)

My gosh! I feel the same way too.

I know I like music, speech, and drama, and art...

but I am apparently "unfocused."

pork, aren't those all dramatic arts?

I think the point is to be accomplished or have leadership roles in a few is better than just showing up for every club in your school and not really participating in them.

^^ I understand that. That kind of wasn't my question.
I want to know why in all these chance threads the advice a lot of people give is to write an essay connecting all your ECs or make sure that all your ECs relate to each other, which is completely not reasonable, I think.

What? Huh? Excuse me?
Whadja say?

Oh......sorry.....I thought I saw another post on my thread.

False alarm!
Go back to what you were doing.
Phew. That was close.
