I was just wonder…how’s Greek life at ucsd? I don’t realy know much about frats and such…is it really worth it to join one?

And how’s the other student organizations (clubs, intramurals… etc)? I would like to get involved when I go to ucsd.

hey, have you stopped by @ LJ's UCSD community? the link has been posted a few times in other threads, but in case you didn't see it, here it is: "http://www.livejournal.com/community/ucsd/". you have to be an LJ member to post comments, but you don't have to be a member to view comments. well... not quite right. LJ members can disable anonymous users' comments, so it's better to have an LJ account to ensure that you can leave messages and whatnot.

it's way helpful! i actually found a member who's graduating this year as a Biochem major and that's my major, too. so i posted a comment on her actual LJ page and the next day, i received this way loong response from her. it was detailed and it was wonderful! you're going to find a lot of help in this community.

but to answer part of your question about intramurals, the UC of intramurals is Davis. other threads have commented on UCSD's socially dead campus, but i say it depends on the individual. there's got to be a lot of activities on campus, except people are so precise about what they're looking for. ellen, the LJ user who responded to me, said that the first year freshmen are going to have to work hard and play hard.

i hope you check out the LJ site! someone there can give you more information about the social atmosphere of UCSD.
