Extremely nervous

Hey, I am extremely nervous about getting into Union, I don't really think this is a chance thread but sort of a concerned thread..

Basically I have a 3.1 GPA, 32 ACT Score, and I am an URM. And I applied ED 2.

Also was diagnosed with epilepsy by end of junior year which sort of explains my poor grades prior, since I was unmedicated which is explained in a paragraph to them.

I have good ECs and everything but the thing that REALLY makes me nervous is my low GPA (although it is unweighted, IDK how to find the weighted GPA)

I have alot of AP classes.

I also have a sister who is currently in Union, she had a 3.75 GPA In highschool but a 27 ACT score and she got in with a very generous scholarship and I am taking more challenging classes than her but her ECs are tiny bit better than mine are.

Should I be SO nervous about getting in because of a mere 3.1 GPA?

Please someone respond I have been freaking out tonight which led me to apply to about 4 more safety schools just tonight.

I made a chance topic a few days ago that has all my detailed information regarding which ECs I have done and which AP classes I took and more indepth stuff here

Thankyou guys! so nervous

Also I dont know if it helps but I had 3 cousins who were Union alumni too

anybody?..

I don’t know much about Union, but I will tell you my stats for you to compare. I was accepted into Union with a presidential scholarship. I have a 3.7 GPA (rigorous curriculum) and a 32 ACT. I am Asian so def. not an URM. My E/C were the strongpoint of my application as well as the reputation of my school.

Your ACT score is the same as mine, you have good E/C according to yourself, and ofc your GPA is pretty low. I was about to say to explain it in the additional informational section and have your counselor discuss it in your rec as well, but it seems like you did. You did ED2 which is ofc a huge booster. I think you have a great chance in getting into the school so you shouldn’t worry. You are a URM, alumni connections and ED applicant.

Goodluck!
