Okay, so I only had 1 Pre-req left before being completely ready for Cal. I only had to take 1 course for Spring 2010, but I decided to add an extra online course just for fun. To my surprise however, after finishing my Online course, with what i thought was an A, I saw a huge F after the course name. To make the story short, I missed 3 days of Online attendance and thus received an F. Will the "F" elective ( which would be units 69) jeopardize my entry to Cal? By the way, I got an "A" for the other class.

i think you stand a good chance of being rescinded…contact an admissions person and check.

I hope not. I will try to speak with that professor to see if he could change my grade, but I’m pretty sure he won’t do it. It would really suck that after all I worked, 1 extra class would destroy my future.

You got a F after missing only three days? Wow, your prof must have been a stickler
I would say call an admissions person and tell them your exact situation (that the class was a “fun course”, you got a bad grade because of missed attendance and not because of your work, and that you have enough units without it).

Yes, there is a strong chance you might get rescind. Even if you don’t need the class, it will still count against you.

check your conditions of admission to see if they required you to complete the course… also check to see if it lists do not finish any class with less than a C.

you might be in trouble… I’d talk to that professor see if you can get her a doctor’s note for the missed days…

I can’t contact my professor. I don’t know… wow I didn’t think this could happen. Know I’m waiting for the Admissions person to answer me. In case of getting rescinded, what can I do? The SIR date for all other schools has passed. I’m so confused and depressed. My only hope is to get a positive response from the Admissions guy. I mean I’m a History major and with that F my GPA is still 3.67. Maybe I have a chance.
