F on transcripts

Last Spring, I withdrew from all of my classes last minute and ended up bombing my entire quarter. 3 classes 3 F's.

I made up 2 of them with B's ...but not the last one.

I'm applying to transfer again without TAGs, So i was wondering how much my that F will hurt my application and cause my application to be denied. I do plan to retake the course but not until after I apply

I'm applying as a computer science major.

GPA is going to be about a 3.1 after that F is factored in

Fs for undergrad isn’t a big deal if u WILL retake them all. BUT, explain them in ur personal statement.

If you are repeating the course this Fall, then the new grade will replace the F because you are required to report Fall grades on the UC Transfer Update in January. Admission evaluation happens in February after the Fall grades are reported.

If you plan to repeat the course in Winter or Spring, talk to your community college counselor about getting “Academic Renewal” to remove the F from your transcript. You will still need to report the AR but at least the F won’t be calculated into your GPA.
