Hello. I'm an international student, I plan to major in math, but I'm in great need of financial aid. I have a couple of questions about NYU:

1)How does financial aid for int'ls work at NYU? On the website I found only that:

"NYU offers limited financial support in the form of institutional grants/scholarships to international freshmen admitted to our New York campus. Grants/scholarships are based on a combination of financial need and academic merit."

This, unfortunately, says nothing about NYU/s ability/willingness to meet full need. And what's more worrying, I looked in the first thread here and found:

"NYU DOES NOT meet full need."

I don't really understand. Does it mean that NYU can't guarantee to meet full need(like Cornell, say), or it doesn't ever meet full need(like does Berkeley for int'ls)?

Another thing: Here's the info College Board offers about NYU international financial aid:

International students eligible for need based aid
Number of enrolled international undergraduates received aid: 0
Total amount awarded: $0

That sounds weird, doesn't it? So really, can int'ls receive aid or they can't?

2)NYU has a very high ranking in both QS math rankings(#8) and in US News applied math rankings(#1). On collegeapps, I found that NYU's admission rate is 35%, which is quite strange, considering that schools ranked as high as NYU may have acceptance rates below 10%. Is this data real?
