I was looking at some recent posts in this forum, and found out that newly admitted students have received their FA award information. On my personalized brown web, I found that “Signed Copy of Student’s 2009 Tax Return” and “Request for additional information” are missing. Those things were not included in my IDOC request, so I did not know I had to send them. I am going to send them by today, but I am worried that it may affect my FA eligibility and amount. I have sent an email to the FA office, but since the office is closed on weekends, I have to wait for days. Are there any CCers having this kind of experience?

Hey, I’m having trouble too. The most frustrating part about my finaid application is that Brown simply doesn’t believe that we put the right numbers down in certain spots. They sent me an email asking for weird verifications on certain things, and the whole thing looks like a mess right now.
Either way, I don’t think we’re going to miss out on anything. Obviously it is better to start negotiating sooner than later, but there is definitely time to get things sorted out, and it is definitely possible to become eligible for financial aid at any point in the application process.

No, if you sent it what you thought you were supposed to on time, Brown should let you fill in the gaps within the next couple of weeks. The earlier you do it, the earlier they’ll come out with your award, but it shouldn’t be a problem. Just do it as soon as possible.

Yeah, I am in much the same situation. I called Brown yesterday, and they said that as long as I send in my information, they will send me a financial aid offer soon after they receive the information.
