S got great news with 2 of his top choice schools and was accepted. Neither of the acceptances had any info about financial aid (we had applied)- positive or negative. We are new to the process and not sure how the financial aid timing may work. Some have said the financial aid info comes a few days later in hard copy. Should we wait and hold tight for the next few days? Should it have come with the acceptance messages/ letters?

We want to support his enthusiasm but temper it should the FA be dramatically different than we were hoping (needing).

Others experiences/ thoughts?

Last year, we received FA letters from 5 schools, and they all arrived as part of the acceptance package or in a separate letter or email, but on the same day. One school sent an acceptance email with no FA mention… I panicked and called. They had forgotten to include the FA link in my email message…

Some of our FA decisions came with the acceptance packages. A few arrived via snail mail a few days later. I can’t remember if they mentioned in the acceptance information that it would be arriving at a later date or not.

I think I would contact the FA office to clarify when you can expect notification. It’s a really painful and stressful situation to be left wondering if your child can celebrate the admission news or not.

Best of luck!

I am in he exact same boat… My son got accepted to his favorite 2 schools which are both a great fit…we got limited financial aid from one ( no way he can attend with the current offer) and I ran home at lunch to get the package because we heard admission via Email for school # 2 and there was no financial info at all in the packet not even when payments due… Does that mean he didnt get any? Is there room for negotiation?

I did contact his AO but have not heard… calling financial aid in AM… This stress, suspense, and lack of sleep Sun night is killing me!
