Facilities, Dorms, Atmosphere,

Hi guys, i’m an international student living in the US for 4 months, i’m gonna transfer to Ohio State for Computer Science but i’m wondering about the school atmosphere. Are there any green spaces, grass fields? i really love School with lots of shade, trees, fresh air, outdoor activities. Do u guys think OSU is suitable for me ? How about the Dorms, friendliness toward Asian, i’m Vietnamese.
Have u ever been to Texas A&M University? Is it better than OSU?
Tks a lot for advises

OSU is in the middle of a large city but it does have green spaces. There is a large grassy area in the center of campus called “The Oval” because it is oval-shaped, that is the most popular one. There are also fields for playing soccer and so forth, and there is a bicycle path that runs along the Olentangy River (it goes through campus) that you can take from one end of Columbus to another. The part of this bike trail North of campus is very peaceful and shady, it runs along a river that people fish in during the Summer as well as lots of parks if you go several miles North of campus.

There are a lot of Asians at OSU, mainly Chinese, Korean, and Indian, but there are a lot of Asian communities near campus, with Asian restaurants and Asian grocery stores where you can buy fish sauce and shrimp crackers and noodles and live frogs and that type of thing. In your computer science classes you will be with a lot of other Asian students and probably have Asian teachers.

Texas A&M is in a small town in the middle of Texas. I’ve never heard anything bad about it but I don’t know how many Asians are there. I imagine there are fewer trees though, because Texas is so dry.
