If a college made a FAFSA correction recently, is it a good sign for acceptance (considering that decisions come out shortly)? Is there any way for me to find out which college made the change?
No and yes.
Thanks for the reply! I called FAFSA twice to ask if they knew which school sent in the correction, but they said that they had no way of knowing. Do you know how I can find out that information?
It really doesn’t matter. Usually FA offices run separately from the admissions office. If a school is a meets full need school, usually they use the CSS for the school aid and the FAFSA for the federal (Pell, SEOG, loans) aid.
It could be good news, … or not any impact in terms of admissions. Some Fin Aid offices run through their FAFSAs in preparation.
