I thought schools that required the PROFILE would be requiring it to be re-submitted every year of the student's college career.

On another thread, I read that some schools require only the FAFSA after the initial filing of the PROFILE.

Which schools require only the FAFSA in subsequent years?

I don’t know how prevalent this is, my son goes to RPI and they only require the profile the first year.

UMich is one of them too.

Varies by school obviously.

Varies by school. DS on,y submitted his freshman year. DD had to submit all four years.

Thanks for the feedback. This is really curious. The FAFSA gives so much less information, and only for one parent of a split household. I was curious which specific schools take this tack (and how they use the information, which we on this forum would not know).

Love to know this too…oh boy, another thing for me to add to the spreadsheet. Because we own a small business that CSS is a pain and if I can avoid doing it every year, the schools that don’t require it will get an extra vote point lol.

Well…in our case, the Profile was not required because the kid got merit aid only. The Profile WAS required if your financial circumstances changed. I’m guessing that with business owners it would be required every year.

School:Boston University…but kid graduated in 2007.
