Alright, so my mom and I went over the FAFSA, collected all the information we needed, applied for our PIN's, and just now got to the last part of this process (sign & submit).

We both were planning on signing electronically, until we came across this problem:

My electronic signature went through fine, but my mothers had an error. We decided to go to - pin.ed.gov - and check the status on our PIN's. Mine was fine, but then we get to hers and we see something odd. She applied for a PIN back in 2000.

She said she totally forgot about it; and had no idea what that PIN number was. We assumed that the new PIN we applied for her today just didn't go through since she already had one, so we decided to recover her old one. We got it, went back to the final page of the FAFSA, and re-entered that PIN.

Then we come across this error:

**We are unable to apply your electronic signature because we are currently missing a match from the Social Security Administration (SSA). Before you, the parent, can sign the application electronically, your information must have a successful match.

We have sent your information to the SSA. Once we receive a successful match you will be able to sign the application electronically. Try to use your PIN again in 1-2 business days.**

We then went BACK to the "PIN site", and made sure all the information was correct. Her name, address, everything (we haven't moved) was fine - accept she didn't have an e-mail entered. We updated it with her current e-mail (just to see if that was it), and same error.

Otherwise, every bit of information is the same, and we both are clueless as to why she is getting this issue.

Anyone here have a similar problem and/or advice?
