*After I have submitted my FAFSA, if I delete one of the colleges that received my Student Aid Report (SAR), does that deleted college continue to receive new SAR as I make additional changes?
No.

But both the original and the amended SAR will be available on line for you to work with.

So lets say you have SAR #1 which lists colleges A,B,C,D,E,F and SAR #2 which lists colleges G & H

After taxes are done, you have to make changes.

You pull up SAR #1 and amend it again. Make a note of all changes. Submit. This will get you SAR #3, going to colleges A-F.

Then you have a choice: you can either bring up SAR #2 (with colleges G & H), and make the same changes you made to SAR #1 and submit; or you can pull up SAR #3 -- which has all the changes -- and delete colleges A-F and replace with G & H.

It's usually easier to change the numbers than it is to change the colleges -- however, if somewhere along the line you have gotten accepted from some colleges and narrowed down your list -- or rejected from some so you know they don't need your aid info -- if the list gets down to 6 colleges or less, then you will want to revise things to submit to only those colleges.

What does that college do with the SAR that it had received?
Each college will rely on the latest SAR that it has retrieved. Colleges can always get electronic access to the latest that was submitted that listed them, even if you have an amended one that deleted that college from the list. In other words, college A can still see SAR #1 even after you have created SAR #2 which goes only to G & H.

*How many corrections (as in deleting and adding colleges) can I make on the FAFSA?
No limit.

(I did a great post last year where I gave all the colleges real names corresponding to the alphabet - Amherst, Bates, Cornell, etc. -- but I'm too lazy to do that again -- but you can pull up the old post by clicking on my name and then the link that says, "visit Calmom's home page")
