FAFSA substitute for CSS Profile?

Ok, I completed my FAFSA pretty early. What I failed to do was complete my CSS Profile. What I just realized today that some of my schools require CSS Before Jan 15--which I haven't even started. Am I doomed? Or do they take the FAFSA into consideration first?? I would appreciate it anyone!!

they won't do anything with your FA until you do the CSS

Do the Profile ASAP. You can also call the schools and ask them about late submittals.

Thanks Sueinphilly and Thumper1 (you are always able to give great advices, I really thank you!)

Also, in addition to CSS and FAFSA, am I required to do their own school forms?

I applied to the following schools:
(sorry if i sound lazy, but from the back of your head, if you know anything about them, please let me know)

Princeton
Harvard
George Washington
Georgetown
American
Wellesley
Carleton
Smith
Colgate

?? THANKS

I have no first hand knowledge of any of those schools, but if there is a separate financial aid form for any of them, then YES, you have to do it. The FAFSA and/or Profile are always in addition to (as opposed to instead of) any school specific form.

I'm loving that I only have to do the FAFSA this year (since my son is at a fafsa only school).

Go check the school websites and see if you missed anything!

Not sure if you are a US citizen or Canadian
Hope this helps

Aubrey, Check the websites of the schools to see what you need to submit. Every school is different...and there are thousands of schools.

WOW! Thank you so much for the link!
I feel shameful for not trying harder!

Do you think that I am really doomed since the deadline has pass, or is still there a slim chance? You can just be honest about it--that if I'm really doom.

sueinphilly: how did you manage to find all these links?
I google and went to the website and found financial aid links--but it wasn't useful like the ones who you showed me. how did you tweak it?
appreciate it alot!

went to homepage of each school and looked for links to financial aid. took me about 20 minutes or less to find all those links :-)

aww i really appreciate it! i really do.
