FAFSA website 'non-certified browser' message

When we go to start filling out the online FAFSA we get the following message:

"Browser Requirements
Supported Browsers

We have detected that you are using a non-certified browser"

Then a long list of browsers that are o.k. We use firefox on one computer and internet explorer on the other - both up to date versions so I am baffled. it seems like we can still go ahead and fill it out but I would hate to do all that work then find it does not work. Anyone else running into this?

Yeah-- it seems to work best with IE; Firefox sometimes gets error messages. My recollection was that until last year, they didn't support Firefox. Now the site says it does support Firefox 2.x, but I still have problems unless I use IE.

that reminds me
we use safari and firefox
( also dial up)
I found the best results doing the FAFSA with the library computers that had IE ( as I was not going to load it)

I also wanted to reassure people while I am thinking of it- that FAFSA will remind you of your pin- all you have to do is confirm your identity and they will resend it to you

I just ignored it. Even though it said that, the version of Firefox that I am using was listed under accepted browsers, and it seemed to work fine.

My versions of firefox on the laptop and IE on the PC are listed also - that's why I was a bit baffled. Thanks for the responses - good to know it is not just us. I will go ahead and fill it out and keep my fingers and toes crossed.
