How long does it take for a school to receive your FAFSA after you used the IRS Data Retrival Tool? My school does not have my updated FAFSA and it has been processed on April 6. I need my school to have my updated FAFSA for federal verification.
Once it’s been processed, the school receives it as soon as they download it. In other words, a delay in the school having it after processing is on the school, not the FAFSA system.
You could call or email and check if they have everything they need.
Make sure it actually processed (sometimes students don’t provide the proper signatures & submit) - and make sure that school is on the most recently processed transaction (sometimes students remove a school from their FAFSA).
