Failed All My Classes The Semester Before Transfer

I am a computer science and electrical engineering major. I have All A’s in major related classes (computer science and engineering), but this semester I failed three classes at once (Physics, Chemistry and Differential Equations; 68~69% in all without round). Should I even apply in fall for transfer?

I feel really defeated to be honest and at a new low and I also feel it would be reflected in my applications (I am already doing them)

OK, to go from all A’s to all F’s is a huge flag. This isn’t about academics, it’s about whatever else was going on in your life.

Why not take a deep breath and tackle whatever it is that caused the change? Then retake those classes, possibly not all at once.

THEN think about transferring.

I agree with the above. Trying to transfer now is going to be a problem, frankly.

Address the issues that caused you to fail. Retake the classes, and try again. Good luck.

P.S. taking three such difficult classes all at the same time was probably not a good idea. Avoid doing that again, if possible.

OP - I also agree with retaking the failed classes and focusing on fixing what went wrong. Set up a tutor from the get go if you need, go to office hours, study groups, etc… You are unlikely to be able to transfer with 3 Fs on your transcript.

@lindagaf - those are normal courses to take in one semester for engineers who are trying to graduate in 8 semesters.

Oh wow. Good thing I didn’t do engineering. Yikes, that’s tough. But if that is the normal track, then it’s clearly do-able. Maybe OP should consider if it’s the right major.

Or simply get there a little more slowly than is typical. If it takes an extra semester or two to get to where you’re going it’s really OK.
