Ok so I took calc 2 at a college nearby and got a C+ in the class. This was kind of unexpected and I was planning to take calc 3 next semester (i put multi calc on my apps). How significant will my calc grade be on my apps? I consider myself good in math (36 act math, 800 sat 2 math 2), but I was so consumed in high school work that I neglected my college class. Also, should I push on to calc 3 just for college app points?

C+ is highly different from failing...

However, I can emphasize with you... :)

I'm getting a C+ in Calc BC while I have A's in all the other classes. Honestly, it will have a negative effect. Delay sending mid year report if you can help it, and see if you don't have to put that Calc grade in your transcript.

If all other options are exhausted, then you just have to make the best with what's available.

^do you mean "sympathize"?

^^ S/he probably means "empathize". ^^

Yeah I got a C in Calc II at community college as well as a sophomore, which sucks because I couldn't take Calc III or higher (classes kept getting cancelled due to low enrollment) so now it looks like I just stopped math in my sophomore year after getting a C.

It will hurt I think, even though I have strong Math SAT scores, etc, but I explained the part about not being able to go on which should at save me a bit.

I would definitely keep going if you think you can get an A or a B in Calc III (that's what I would have done if I could)
