Failing a class my senior year?

So, I got accepted into the University of Washington, Seattle. I'm doing Running Start and failed a class winter quarter (I've never failed a class before, let alone get a D). I am planning to take it again spring quarter.

My question is, will failing this class cause UW to turn down their admission offer? I'm worried that I really messed up and won't get in now.

Thanks for any advice!

Mmm, you might get in trouble for it. I would THINK that if you explained how you’re retaking it, they wouldn’t auto-rescind you, but put you on academic probation.

Will they see your grade in that class, or will the new grade replace the old one on the transcript?

What’s Running Start?

Should you call UW to be pro-active, or write a quick letter explaining this?

Running Start is a program where you take community college classes that count for both college and high school credits. On the community college transcript, the new grade will replace the failing grade. On my high school transcript, I think both grades will show.

I will e-mail UW and see what they have to say.
